What’s poppin’ gals and ragejunkies!!! How was everyone weekend? I can tell y’all how my weekend went. Ready for it? Well, Friday night, I went out clubbing with a few buddies. Saturday night, went out club hopping with a few more peeps. Sunday night, I went to see Shake ‘n Bass live in full effect starring the Moombah Mafia crew of BIG MAKK, Ma-LESS and Dr. Khan out in Orlando. There was a handful of sucias going buck ass wild on the dancefloor. Everything from ratchet twerking to grinding to booty clapping. Hell, there was a 7 girl twerk train going on at one point. Everything from Moombahton, Trap, Bubbling, Juke, Kuduro and Cumbia was playing over at Shake ‘n Bass. The crowd is one of the craziest music-craved crowds I’ve seen. I really recommend everyone to hit up Orlando on a Sunday night to Shake ‘n Bass at the Backbooth Lounge. With that recap of how my weekend went, I noticed that there were quite bit of party-starting jams that went under the radar and might have not grace the eardrums. So, I’ll present the hidden gems that came out but just missed the skinny below. Grab them headphones, turn up the boomblasters and get ready to be on a eargasmic coaster.
First off right off the bat is the big Moombahton collaboration club banger titled “Machucando”. This song coming from BIG MAKK, 2Deep, Ma-LESS and Anthony Wolf packs a boastful punch of Moombahton. Where should I begin? The sucias vocals from Ma-LESS kicks the tune full speed. The build is mad hype as the song starts taking form. Then, the drop what makes it an absolute twerk session from there on out. Definitely a keep with Machucando.
Staying with 2Deep for this next collection mini-mix highlighting the 2Deep’s and Muevelo’s EP called Trapical. The EP is a Trapaton/Moombahton EP that have seven big jams that brings out all the ratchetness from big booty ass shakers. There are remixes of Baauer, Flosstradamus, ƱZ, Trinidad James and Carnage biggest Trap tracks from last year. With remixes from 2Deep, babySTEPS, Chino, DJR, Sizzurp, Chong-X, Shane Suffriti, Gurbtron and a Cratesz VIP edit bringing out all the goodies of Muevelo swag. This EP is going to be my go-to album for babymaking.
Trill Scott Heron teams up with DeMon Âme did a Moombahtrap remix of Git It Gurl. The song have samples from Ying Yang Twins. The drop got a trap-influenced Moombahton drop that quickly goes into the Trap. Good subtle use of the snare and 808 kick with bass and the samples with this tune.
Stas just recently came out with his newest Arabic/Bollywood style Moombahton track “Sandy”. The song starts out with an Egyptian vibe right away. Transitional Moombahton pumpers like “Sandy” brings attitude on the dancefloor. Stas is one of the forefront of the sub-genre Moombhangra/Transitional Moombahton. Song is a good follow up on Caravan. You can get it on Beatport and iTunes under Ninthwave Records.
Here is some Moombahsoul to round out everyone day. This Moombahsoul remix is from PotemTole of Poolside “Why You Wanna”. PotemTole is a Moombahton/Moombahsoul DJ that incorporates disco to his tracks. The remix brings out the indie vibes of the original version of the song. The vocals are nicely used in this remix as a hype-build to an psa-style build that drops in the moombahsoul. This remix from PotemTole is a good one to jive on the floor with your girl.
